Spreading the flowery love from my farm based workshop, I create beautiful, rustic, natural designs that are full of textural interest. Continuously influenced by the great outdoors around us my space is tucked away on a friends farm in Marsh Gibbon. I’m surrounded in fields, big expanses of sky, immense hedgerows, sheep, oh and a few Chickens too. To say I’m content there in my wellies, with mud and the sounds of nature is an understatement! After many years working in beautiful Florist shops in Oxford city, I made my dream reality in 2015 by setting up my very own business, The Flower Shed Oxford specialising in Wedding and Event flowers. Since then, me, my shed and my flowers have grown each year, building up wonderful relationships with both my customers and venues. I never advertise, and honestly, I steer away from awards and recognition. Happy in my flower bubble, my reputation is built purely on solid recommendation. Word of mouth, people, real people. As my Business supplies for weddings all year through, I import flowers from Holland and also use seasonal, English (and sometimes very local) flowers and foliage. Some I use from my own land too. Having always used paper rather than plastics, being kind to the planet is something I continue to be very mindful of. We compost and recycle well on the farm. We need to look after our beautiful earth.
With open arms I embrace the seasons as they bring such magic in nature leading us through the year. Green is my thing, and if I’m surrounded in it, I’m very happy. You’ll see all this passion when you meet me, each creation I make is bursting with new inspiration, that is just for you. A truly passionate Florist that carry’s her scissors in her back pocket wherever she goes! That’s me.
